SaveOnEnergy

SaveOnEnergy stands as a premier Texas-based energy marketplace, boasting a vast user base of over a million individuals each month. As a prominent platform in the energy sector, it serves as a go-to destination for consumers seeking competitive energy rates and plans in the Texas market. With its wide reach and user engagement, SaveOnEnergy plays a pivotal role in empowering users to make informed decisions about their energy consumption and expenditure.

Problem

The outdated design of the website results in poor user experiences, including navigation difficulties and ADA compliance issues. These shortcomings diminish trust in the brand’s reliability and commitment to user satisfaction.

Objective

Develop a sleek, contemporary brand identity by redesigning the logo and refining color schemes, typography, and style. Additionally, overhaul the website, digital marketplace, and streamline the checkout process to enhance functionality and design coherence.

Role

Branding, UI Design, Visual Design & Interaction Design

Re-branding

The initial phase of our design journey commenced with thorough research and exploration. Our objective was to ensure alignment with the current brand positioning, target audience preferences, prevailing market trends, and a comprehensive analysis of our competitors. Subsequently, we transitioned into the creative realm, crafting logo concepts that evolved from initial sketches to refined designs through iterative feedback loops. This meticulous process culminated in the development of the final logo, embodying our collective vision and strategic insights.

Design

Following our preliminary research and analysis, we delved into the process of conceptualizing the website layout. This involved a comprehensive exploration of various design concepts and ideas, taking into account factors such as user experience, visual aesthetics, and functionality requirements.

After making basic outlines, we turned them into detailed designs. These designs had moving parts and animations to show how things would work.

We developed a working prototype that showcased the design’s functionality and user experience. Stakeholders and end-users were engaged to provide feedback, enabling us to iterate and refine the design effectively.

Conclusion

This project was one of the largest projects I worked on that year. It led to a 35% increase in reviews, totaling over 16 million of incremental EBITA over the 2019-2020 fiscal year. This growth was one of the largest in the company’s history. I’m proud to have been part of the team behind this achievement. It’s fulfilling to receive special recognition from the company for this significant accomplishment.
